
Day 1: Overnight Flight
Make your own way to Europe. Your tour begins when you land in Italy.
Day 2: Stresa, Lago Maggiore, Italy - Tour Begins
Your tour begins in picturesque Stresa on Lago Maggiore. Tonight you are
transported by boat to Isola dei Pescatori, one of the most characteristic
islands of the Borromeo Gulf. Enjoy a delicious meal while surrounded by
beautiful scenery. (D)
Day 3: Stresa - Lugano, Switzerland - Stresa, Italy
Today, drive through the beautiful Lake District of Italy, cross into
Switzerland and the lakeside resort of Lugano. Here you will enjoy
beautiful views of Lake Lugano and excellent shopping pportunities. The
remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the lake area. (B)
Day 4: Stresa - Zermatt, Switzerland
Depart Stresa for a scenic motorcoach ride into the heart of the Alpine
mountains. The breathtaking views of the Italian and Swiss Alps will leave
a lasting impression on you. Upon arrival in Taesch, board a local train
for the short ride to the spectacular Alpine village of Zermatt. (B, D)
Day 5: Zermatt
Following an orientation tour of the village, the balance of the day is at
leisure. Get an up-close look at the famed Matterhorn, enjoy some fine
shopping or just relax at your hotel. (B)
Day 6: Zermatt - Glacier Express - St. Moritz
Today you board the famous Glacier Express. Be prepared for an
unforgettable train ride on the world’s most exciting narrow-gauge
railway. You travel through a series of tunnels and bridges as you
traverse some of the most spectacular Alpine
scenery in the world: majestic mountains, verdant valleys, picturesque
canyons, glistening glaciers and snowcapped peaks. Your destination is
St. Moritz, playground of the rich and famous. (B, D)
Day 7: St. Moritz - Innsbruck, Austria
Enjoy your drive through the picturesque Engadine Valley. Shortly, you
cross into Austria and continue along the scenic Inn Valley. Arriving in
the capital of the Austrian Tyrol, Innsbruck, time is allowed for lunch,
independent sightseeing and shopping. Be sure not to miss the famous
Golden Roof. Continue the drive through the Austrian countryside to
historic Salzburg, one of Europe’s most beautiful and romantic spots. (B)
Day 8: Innsbruck - Salzburg - Innsbruck
Begin your day with a leisurely walking tour of Salzburg’s historic “Old
Town” - The Altstadt. Your sightseeing includes such highlights as the
Cathedral, Mozart's birthplace and Mirabell Gardens. You will not be able
to miss locations from the "Sound of Music". The afternoon will be at
leisure. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the centuries-old St. Peter’s
Restaurant. (B, D)
Day 9: Innsbruck - Munich, Germany - Oberammergau
You drive a short distance to the frontier of Germany, crossing the border
into Bavaria. Soon you arrive in the Bavarian capital of Munich where you
have a walking tour featuring the Marienplatz, the Glockenspiel and the
Olympic Park. Next, depart for the quaint village of Oberammergau, nestled
in the Bavarian Alps. (B, D)
Day 10: Oberammergau - Passion Play
ΗThis afternoon, witness a performance of the Passion Play.Η The original
performance dates back to 1634. During the Thirty Year War, the village
of Oberammergau was spared the Black Plague and for this reason, the
villagers vowed that every ten years they would give a play to honor the
life of Christ. The performers are native Oberammergauers. Their long
hair and beards are natural as they start to grow it a year or more in
advance, and their costumes are made by local villagers. During the break
of the performance, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner
celebrating the end of a memorable trip. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Oberammergau - Tour Ends
Depart for home with many fond memories of your Alpine adventure! (B)
If you have not purchased air through Collette and wish to purchase
transfers, you must transfer at our pre-scheduled times.
Order of events is subject to change on some departure dates. The dinner
in Salzburg may be on another evening due to limited availability.
All tours will be subject to the finalization of play tickets. In the event
that Collette cancels the tour, you will be refunded 100%.
Due to flight
restrictions, you may require an early morning departure from your hotel.
Collette air passengers will arrive into the Milan, Italy airport and
depart from the Munich, Germany airport. All Collette transfers will
depart from/return to these airports.
Single accommodations are extremely limited and are
available on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to secure
single accommodations it is highly recommended that you book early. Also,
triple and child rates are not available.

A second deposit of $1,000 per person is due on or before May 11, 2009. Final payment is due on or before January 11, 2010. All space is
first come first serve.

Payments: A per person deposit must be received with passenger names at time of booking. Second deposit is applicable for all tours that include Oberammergau. Final payment is due on or before January 11, 2010.
Identification: Passports are required for this tour at your expense. Certain countries
require a minimum of 6 months passport validity from date of return home.
You are strongly urged to contact the appropriate consulate for details. Visit www.travel.state.gove for the U.S. State Department for the latest details about passports and visa requirements.
Important: We recommend that our clients traveling abroad take a photocopy of their passport and applicable visas. It should be packed separately from your actual passport and visa. We also recommend leaving a copy at home with your emergency contact.
For Oberammergau: Deposits are nonrefundable. A cancellation fee of
75% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 prior to departure. A cancellation charge of 100% will apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to departure. Cancellation protection is highly recommended and must be
purchased at time of 1st deposit. AIr rates are subject to change until tour is paid in full. Cancellation
charges also apply to reservations made for “pre” and “post” night
accommodations. Purchase of Waiver and insurance guarantees a full refund of all payments (including deposit), except the Waiver and insurance fee itself, made to Collette Vacations for travel arrangements in the case of cancellation of your travel plans for any reason prior to the day of departure. The Waiver and Insurance does not cover any single supplement charges which arise from an individual's Traveling companion electing to cancel for any reason prior to departure. Responsibilities: Neither Collette Travel Services, Inc., its affiliated
entities and its and their employees, shareholders, officers, directors,
successors, agents, and assigns collectively "Collette"), own or operate
any person or entity which is to or does provide goods or services for
these trips. Because neither maintains any control over the personnel,
equipment, or operations of these suppliers, Collette assumes no
responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury,
death, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or

itinerary whenever, in their sole judgment, conditions warrant, or if they
deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the tour. They reserve the right to withdraw any tour announced. Collette reserves
the right to decline to accept any person as a member of the tour, or to
require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any time, when such
action is determined by the tour manager to be in the best interests of the
health, safety, and general welfare of the tour group or of the individual
participant. Neither does Collette accept liability for any carrier's
cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a non-refundable airline
or other ticket to the tour departure city and return or otherwise. Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the owner at
all times. Participants may be photographed for the promotional purposes of
Collette. Arbitration - I agree that any dispute concerning, relating, or
referring to this contract, the brochure or any other literature concerning
my trip, or the trip itself, shall be resolved exclusively by binding
arbitration according to the then existing rules of the American
Arbitration Association in Rhode Island. Such proceedings will be governed
by substantive Rhode Island law. Payment of the deposit to Collette
constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
